Drop Zone Reopens for the Season |
May 3rd - October 26th |
6-way Speed FS Competition |
May 16th - May 19th |
The 6-way speed formation skydiving competition will follow the general rules of the 10-way competition. This event has proved to be a great competition experience for jumpers with a wide range of experience. Each round consists of building one formation drawn from the dive pool. Similar to 10-way, all jumpers on the 6-way team will start behind the marked line without grips through exit. Two unlinked jumpers must initiate the formation after passing through the door with the remaining jumpers converging on those two jumpers. For the 6-way competition, the dive pool will consist of three formations: Star, Snow flake and Dog bone. The competition will be a total of three rounds, so a different formation will be built for each round. Exit altitude is 12,500 feet, the working time is 35 seconds from the exit. Each team receives a score (in seconds) for the completed 6-way formation that is held for a minimum of five seconds. The beginning of the five seconds must fall within the working time (ie: the last grip must be completed within 35 seconds). If a team does not complete the formation in 35 seconds, a maximum score of 40 seconds is given. The team with the lowest score over the three rounds wins. Teams: All interested people are to sign up in Manifest prior to 8:30 AM Saturday 17 May 2008. All B, C and D License Holders can enter. Teams will then be organized so they most beneficially match the experience levels of all participants. Each Team will appoint a Team Captain who will be that Team's contact with the Event Organizer. Practice: The Dropzone will be open Friday 16 May for practice and pre-registration |
Freefly Scrambles |
May 18th - |
The teams will be assigned based on experience levels, so that more experienced flyers will be matched with newer freeflyers. There will be 3 rounds, and the draw will be posted prior to the competition. The judging will be based on the honor system and team members' own videos. We will start in the main hangar at 9am. The cost will be determined. See you all there! |
