Tandem First Jump
What a way to make a first jump! You will get a 30 minute briefing covering the need to know basics of the skydive. You then get geared up, move to the airplane and enjoy a scenic ride to your desired altitude.
Your instructor will then attach the two of you together and prepare you to exit the aircraft. The door opens, wow, wind rushing, adrenaline, this is wild. You slide your feet out the door, you look to your left and the camera man is hanging from the wing strut with the lens on you.
It is surreal, you are three kilometers above the ground sitting
on the edge of an airplane smiling for the camera, ready to dive into the
air. Yes, you must be a little nuts. You nod, wave at the cameraman and
you are skydiving. You feel a tap on your shoulder, you respond to the
signal by opening up into an arched position to balance yourself in the
air. Unbelievable, you are flying. With help from your instructor you
adjust your body slightly and make a smooth 360-degree turn, getting the
view of a lifetime. The cameraman is just a couple of feet away from you.
He looks so comfortable flying there. You wave, make a signal at him, you
are breathing easy. This is cool. You are really starting to feel the air
around you. How are you going to explain this to your friends, it is such
a sensation.
You feel the parachute opening. Was that five seconds or five minutes? It is quiet, just a light breeze, your instructor is passing you the steering toggles. You get a hold and you are now controlling the parachute. You can turn it fast enough to make your feet tingle or slow it down to allow you to enjoy a seven minute cruise back to terra firma. Your instructor gets you to prepare for landing, with a pull on the toggles the parachute slows down and you are on the ground. There is no other ride like it. Now you want to try it on your own.
The Tandem Parachute Ride Includes: 30 minutes instruction and briefing, aircraft ride to 12500 feet, and all the equipment necessary for the ride of your life.
